This is the private residence and studio of artist Victor Stabin. He purchased the building a couple decades ago (previously the Wireworks factory). It’s been completely renovated to show off the amazing architectural features. You can see and purchase his funky and eclectic artwork at the museum and gift shop. Asa Packer Mansion Museum
This is a one of a kind mansion and architectural marvel. It's the former home of the millionaire Asa Packer, back when the area was saturated with coal money. It's extremely well preserved and well worth a visit. Group tours are the only way to see it, so make sure to plan accordingly.
From their website: The Mansion will be open weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) in April and Saturdays & Sundays in May from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The Mansion is open seven days a week from Memorial Day to October 31. Once you purchase tickets, there will be no more than half an hour wait for a tour. The last tour departs promptly at 4:00 unless otherwise noted. Tours consist of a docent-guided presentation detailing the history of the Packer Family and visitors have an opportunity to view the original contents of the house. Please be advised that tours can last up to 60 minutes. As tours can sell out rather quickly, it is recommended that you purchase tickets for your tour as soon as you arrive at The Mansion.
